SUMMARY:19th WORLD CONGRESS of ANESTHESIOLOGISTS
DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\, \nI wish to extend a warm welcome to our global anaesthesiology family to the 19th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA2026) set to unfold in Morocco from 15-19 April 2026. The congress is organised in partnership with the Société Marocaine d’Anésthesie\, d’Analgésie\, et de Réanimation (SMAAR). \nWe are profoundly honoured to announce that the 19th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA2026) will be held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.\nThis exceptional distinction reflects the high esteem in which our congress is held and stands as a mark of great honour for the global anaesthesiology community. \nWCA is a global event and provides an unparalleled global platform for knowledge exchange\, professional growth and collaboration. \nWCA transcends continents\, attracting participation from every corner of the world and thereby provides a truly global dialogue and feel. The congress will also be available online\, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all. \nUnder the expert leadership of the Scientific Committee Co-Chairs Afak Nsiri and Samir Jaber from SMAAR\, and Tony Gin from WFSA\, the extensive scientific programme provides lectures delivered by top contributors from around the world\, the unveiling of new findings\, the opportunity for hands-on workshops\, niche discussion groups and much more. \nBut of course\, WCA2026 is about more than the science and scientific sessions. It is also a unique and enriching opportunity for colleagues to network and make new connections\, and to share learnings from their own hospitals and healthcare systems. As the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists\, this is something we value deeply. \nLast but certainly not least\, the city of Marrakech will be a stunning backdrop for our meeting.
