The ESAIC eLearning Committee is launching a new interactive online educational format in 2025: the Deminars. Building on the success of ESAIC Webinars, Deminars combine filmed clinical demonstrations with real-time audience interaction, offering highly practical learning focused on everyday anaesthesia and intensive care practice.
Each session presents a real clinical scenario, guided by expert faculty, where participants vote on management options and explore the reasoning behind different approaches. This format highlights the diversity of clinical practice across Europe and supports immediate bedside application.
The first Deminars—on ECMO and lung recruitment—each attracted more than 500 participants from over 60 countries and received a 99% positive rating. The next session, “Regional Blocks for Kids”, will take place on 16 December 2025 at 18:00 CET, in collaboration with ESPA, featuring demonstrations and videos on paediatric regional anaesthesia.
Deminars are free to attend live for all users with a myESAIC account, with replays available exclusively to ESAIC members. ESAIC will continue expanding its digital learning portfolio in 2026, including an upcoming Deminar on difficult airway management.
