The 2nd International Congress of the Albanian Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ASICM) is set to take place on October 25-26, 2024, in the vibrant city of Tirana, Albania, at the renowned Tirana International Hotel.The congress kicks off with a welcoming session from 9:00-10:00 AM, featuring esteemed speakers like Dr. Gentian HUTI, president-elect of ASICM, and Prof. Asc. Fatos SADA, who leads the Kosovar Society of Intensive Care and Perioperative Medicine.
Immediately following the opening, Prof. Ilir Ohri will present a lecture on the current challenges faced by ICUs (10:00-10:20 AM). From there, attendees will dive into the Balkan Anesthesia Platform (10:30 AM-12:00 PM), where experts from across the region will share insights on topics like the use of vasopressin in ICU, advances in tracheostomy, and even gender differences in post-surgical pain management.
